I took the 45-Hour Post-License Package as an online self-paced course. The material was generally good and covered what I expected. The online portal was mostly user-friendly, but I had a minor issue finding one of the supplementary readings; it was eventually there, just not as obvious as the others. From my experience with their CE courses, they handle the reporting to IDFPR. You just finish the course and they do the rest. Makes renewal a lot less stressful.

I've heard good things about Kaplan too, but Skyline is generally cheaper if budget is a concern. Both are approved schools in IL, so you're good either way. I think it comes down to learning style honestly.

They have sales pretty regularly, especially around June, December, and January. Not huge discounts, but usually like $20-$50 off for the full pre-license stuff. Keep an eye out for those times.

Are their courses fully online or do you have to go somewhere in person for anything like proctoring?

Most of it is online. They don't do proctoring for the state exam though, you gotta set that up yourself with Pearson Vue.

The actual course material can be online self-paced or live webinar, but for the actual state licensing exam, you'll have to go to a testing center. Skyline doesn't offer proctoring for that.
